Age of Medieval Soon on Steam

Frequently asked questions

Short answers. Anything not decided yet is marked as such.

What is Age of Medieval?

A medieval dynasty strategy game. You arrive with a hero, four families and a wagon, found a village, build it house by house, open roads and trade routes, command real-time battles and sieges, and when your lord dies, the heir carries on.

What genre is it?

Medieval dynasty strategy, with a campaign map and real-time battles. Building the village is part of the game from day one, but there is one genre: strategy.

Is it single-player?

Yes. Age of Medieval is a single-player game. The other Houses on the map are run by the game and act without you.

Is there multiplayer?

No. There is no multiplayer mode and none is planned.

Which platform? What are the requirements?

PC on Windows, through Steam. Minimum and recommended requirements are not final yet; they go on the Steam page before launch.

How much will it cost?

The price has not been set. It will be announced on the Steam page.

When is the demo?

Early 2027, no day set. The demo covers the opening of the game: found, build, open the first market and close the first profit. The milestones are on the roadmap.

Can I save the game?

Yes. The campaign has save slots and autosave. A battle in progress is not saved: the game keeps a save from just before each fight.

Which languages?

19 languages, with interface and subtitles: English, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish, German, Italian, Polish, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Hungarian, Swedish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The game has no voice acting.

Who makes the game, and with what?

UnderStudio, a small independent studio from Brazil, on the Godot 4 engine. Brasa Interactive is the publisher.

What went into the game most recently?

In September 2026: area farms (field, orchard and pasture), castle and town laid out on the same plan as the village, rivers and lakes on the map, day and night, and battle with box selection and control groups. The roadmap tracks the rest.

How can I help?

Two things. The first, and the one that counts most, is a wishlist on Steam. The second is joining the e-mail list to hear about the page, the demo and the launch.
