Short description

Age of Medieval is a single-player medieval strategy game. Found a village with four families and a wagon, build it house by house, open roads and trade routes, then raise an army for real-time battles and sieges. When your lord dies, his heir inherits it all.

Long description

You begin as a founder: one hero, four families and a cart. Pick your land, found the village and raise houses, workshops and walls piece by piece. Open roads and trade routes, forge your men's weapons, and grow the village into a town your neighbours covet.

Meanwhile, the map moves without you. Lords march, besiege castles and switch sides; Houses are born, marry, betray and fall. Workers walk out to fields, woods, quarries and mines, and everything on the map can be attacked.

When armies meet, the fight becomes a real-time battle seen from above. You don't control every soldier: you give orders to groups and formations. Advance, hold the line, flank, fall back. In sieges, engines and ladders go up against gates and walls. Morale matters: a tired, surrounded army breaks and runs.

Your lord grows old and dies. His heir inherits the village, the troops, the enemies and the war. Your House grows across generations.

The studio

Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio, an independent Brazilian studio that writes its own stack — engine, renderer, tools and anti-cheat — instead of licensing an off-the-shelf engine. The game is published by Brasa Interactive.

The studio is led by Rafhael Oliveira, a software developer and architect with eight years of experience across technology, games and infrastructure. He started programming at 13, building and running game servers, and that is where the hands-on experience with distributed systems, performance, networking and backend came from. He works with C#, C++, PHP, JavaScript and Lua, and with infrastructure on Google Cloud, AWS and Azure, focused on systems that have to stay up under load. LinkedIn profile.
