Wishlist or follow? What each button tells Steam
Two clicks, two different kinds of news
There are two buttons on a Steam store page that look alike and do different things. As a publisher we are often asked which one matters.
The wishlist button is about the release. Steam emails you on the day the game comes out and when it is discounted. It is also the number Steam uses to judge interest in an upcoming game.
The follow button is about news. It puts the game's posts in your activity feed and on your library page, so you see the devlogs without visiting the store.
You can follow three pages for this game: the game itself, UnderStudio as developer, and Brasa Interactive as publisher. Each posts different things. If you want one click only, make it the wishlist.
Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
