Demand comes from people, not from a table

Eleven goods, and somebody really uses each one

There are eleven goods in Age of Medieval, from grain, cattle and salt to firewood, cloth, tools and arms. None of them has a fixed price.

Demand is counted from what is actually spent. Villagers burn firewood in winter and wear out clothes. Workshops consume their inputs. A building site swallows timber and stone. A garrison wants arms. The people pay the market for what they consume, and that money is what your caravan is paid with.

This is why the same sack of salt is worth little in a town that has a source and a great deal in a hill village that has none.

It also means prices move for reasons you can find. If firewood is dear in the north this winter, somebody up there built houses faster than woodpiles.

Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
