Devlog: a cart becomes a village
A hero, four families and one cart. The rest is where you stop.
Age of Medieval does not hand you a town. On normal difficulty you start on the campaign map with a hero, four families and one cart: 60 wood, 20 stone, 60 food, 12 tools and 48 firewood.
You walk the map and pick free land. The ground matters: with no forest in reach there are no logs, and a river blocks building. When you like the spot you press [B], choose "Found here", and the village is born with a square and nothing else.
Then the build palette opens. The first houses, the woodcutter by the trees and the first field are yours to place, and twelve people start living there the same day.
The other Houses do not wait while you settle in. They build, trade and march from day one, and the map you look at next season will not be the one you started on.
Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
