Devlog: what the fallen leave behind

Loot is the gear they were actually wearing

When a battle ends in Age of Medieval, the result screen is not a number of coins. It is a list of things.

The fallen leave what they were wearing. Not all of it survives, but what does is the real item: the leather cuirass of the people you fought, their spears, their shields. A defeated lord leaves his whole kit. You choose what to carry off and what to leave.

What you take has uses. It can go onto your hero or a companion, be sold at a market, or sit in the armoury until you have a soldier to promote, since promotion uses a real piece.

Prisoners are the other half of the screen. You can hold them, trade them at the peace table, or let them go, and the last one is remembered as mercy. The other lords loot each other the same way, so an old enemy may ride back wearing better steel than he left with.

Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
