Devlog: a request has a deadline and a memory
Bram, the headman and the Journal on [L]
Age of Medieval has no quest giver with an exclamation mark. It has people who need something by a certain day.
Bram, the old soldier who rides with you, covers the first chapters and can be dismissed at any time. After him, the requests come from the world: your village headman wants a granary before the harvest, a neighbour wants an escort, a friendly lord rides to your gate with a problem.
Each request shows its deadline and its reward. You are free to refuse, and refusing costs you nothing. Honour only falls for a request you accepted and then let expire, and a lord who does that often enough earns a name for it: Dishonest. Other Houses hear the name.
Everything you have agreed to is in the Journal on [L], with the days left. It is also where you call Bram back if you sent him away too early.
