Question of the week: fields inside the wall or outside?
A long wall, or a harvest the enemy reaches first
This week's question comes straight from the field post. You are about to close your palisade.
Draw it tight around the houses and it is short, cheap and easy to man, with the fields left outside for anyone who rides up. Draw it wide around the fields and you have twice the wall to build and to defend.
