Question of the week: swear to a king or stay free?
Protection has a price, and it is paid every season
This week's question is about a crown that is not yours. Your village has a palisade, a market and neighbours stronger than you.
Under a king you pay tribute and march when the realm goes to war. In exchange, whoever attacks you attacks the realm.
Free, you keep every coin and choose every war, and you face whoever comes with what you have. Which do you take?
