Hello, and thank you for following UnderStudio. This is our first post here, so here is who we are and what we are working on.
Who we are: a small studio from Brazil
UnderStudio is a small independent studio from Brazil. Right now everything we do goes into one game: Age of Medieval.
What we are making: Age of Medieval
Age of Medieval is a single-player medieval strategy game. You found a village with four families and a wagon, lay it out street by street, open the roads that carry your trade and raise the army that keeps it all. When your lord dies, his heir inherits the village, the routes, the wars and the grudges.
- Build street by street: every street, house, field and wall is one you placed.
- Trade along roads you paid for, with prices that follow real hunger.
- Fight real-time battles with up to 600 men, and sieges fought inside the town you (or your enemy) built.
- Rule a House that marries, swears, rebels and passes to an heir.
How we work: in the open, straight from the game
Age of Medieval is made by one person, in the open. Every screenshot and clip we publish is captured in the game as it is: no mock-ups, no target renders. The world does not wait for you, either: the other Houses build, trade, march and marry while you are busy somewhere else, and we build the game the same way, one working system at a time.
What comes next: screenshots, trailers and dev diaries
Next up: new screenshots and trailers with the new interface, the Age of Medieval store page, and dev diaries about the parts we are proudest of, starting with the new battles (attack-move, four stances, a 12-second deployment) and villages laid out street by street.
