We let the world run for three years

A 100-minute test where nobody plays

Age of Medieval promises a world that moves without you. The only honest way to check that is to stop playing and watch.

So one of our tests runs three in-game years with the player standing still. It takes about 100 minutes, and at the end we read a ledger: how many people starved, how much iron exists, how many castles were built, how many places changed hands.

In the latest run, nobody starved in the third year, the Houses built 23 castles between them, places changed owner 93 times and caravans completed 3,479 trade circuits. A run before it had ended with no iron left anywhere in the world, which is how we found out tools were eating it all.

The test also shows what is still wrong, and we write that down too. A player who does nothing for three years ends with no gold and no land. That one we consider correct.

Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
