Devlog: nothing is built by clicking
You place the building site. Your people build the house.
When you place a house in your village, you do not get a house. You get a building site.
The coins leave at the click. The timber and stone leave the storehouse over time, on the backs of the people you have assigned as builders. The clock runs while you stand in the village, so you can watch the frame go up.
Sites wait in a queue you control: move one up, pause it, cancel it. If a site stops, the game tells you what is missing. Streets and walls are built the same way.
The other Houses build by the same rule. Their sites buy material from real market stock at the going price, so a building boom next door shows up in what timber costs you.
