Devlog: who runs the village while you ride
The governor, the building queue and the work panel
A lord in Age of Medieval has two jobs that happen in different places. The village needs building, and the road needs riding.
The village does not stop when you leave. Everything you ordered is a building site in a queue: your people fetch material and raise each piece in order, and the work panel on [J] shows who is doing what. You come home to a village that moved.
A governor makes the difference on large works. With one organising the site, the stages of the seat follow each other without waiting for you, and a castle goes up in about twelve days.
The other Houses run the same way. Their villages are raised by their own people from their own stock, at the speed their quarry and their mine allow. A neighbour who is suddenly building in stone has found the stone somewhere, and it may be worth finding out where.
Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
