How a village plan becomes a battlefield

The same cells you built on are the ones soldiers walk

"The siege happens inside your village" is one sentence on the store page and a great deal of work underneath.

A village is stored as a plan: a grid of cells, each holding a street, a house, a field or nothing, with walls on the edges between cells. When an assault begins, the game builds the battlefield from that plan, piece by piece, with the same art.

Then the soldiers have to cross it. Each one finds a path cell by cell, so houses block, streets guide and a wall stops everything until there is a gate or a breach. When many men head for the same breach, they follow a shared flow toward it instead of each computing a route alone.

We test it with a blunt probe: break a gate, send cavalry, and count how many riders come through the gap and turn down the street. The answer has to be all of them.
