"Normal: the world as it is"

What the difficulty setting changes, and what it leaves alone

The difficulty screen of Age of Medieval has three cards, and the text on the middle one is the shortest in the game: "The world as it is."

Easy gives you more gold, makes your troops suffer less and makes the other Houses declare war on you less often. Hard does the opposite: less gold, your troops suffer more, and the Houses are more aggressive toward you.

What none of them touches is the world. Prices follow supply and demand at every setting. Villagers eat, burn firewood and wear out tools at the same rate. The other Houses build, trade and fight each other by the same rules.

That was a deliberate line. A simulation that cheats on Hard stops being something you can learn. So difficulty changes how much room for error you have, and how much attention the neighbours pay you. The world you are learning is the same one.

Age of Medieval is developed by UnderStudio in UnderStudio 2D and published by Brasa Interactive. It releases on 17 May 2027.
